A Blount County family narrowly escaped tragedy when a tree fell and destroyed their camper and car, sparing the home, leading to a profound and emotional discovery.

Fire officials said crews were called to the home on Crowe View Drive at about 4 a.m. to find that the tree had crashed through a bedroom closet.
