September is International Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) awareness month, dedicated to promoting discussions about FASD and the importance of supporting alcohol-free pregnancies. “Children and adults with FASD often struggle to have their specific needs and supports recognised and met, and this has implications across their life," Disability Discrimination Commissioner Rosemary Kayess said. "Too many times, people with FASD end up in child protection, the justice system and marginalised
