A new exhibition at Sterling Memorial Library explores the changing perceptions — in prestige and value — of the first printed collection of Shakespeare’s plays on its 400th anniversary. Fun facts about this First Folio: ▪️ The Folio, published in 1623, preserved 18 of Shakespeare’s plays that had never been printed before. ▪️ It was the first book to divide Shakespeare’s plays by genre: comedies, histories and tragedies. ▪️ The Folio’s engraved portrait of Shakespeare is thought to be one of th
